Late Qing dynasty, on red felt, the large horizontal embroidery depicts numerous auspicious symbols, including qilin (mythical beasts) stiched in gold, lotus flowers stiched in the Pekingknot, also known as the Forbidden stitch, butterflies, bats, spotted deer, and elephant-decorated vases, phoenix, and an orange trim stitched with double gourds and flowers on three sides.
