PROPERTY FROM THE CRAWFORD COLLECTION A GROUP OF EIGHT YIXING WARESLate 19th/20th century The first, a covered teapot of blue clay in apressed circular form, incised all over with calligraphic inscriptions, the base impressed with a four-character seal mark; the second, a covered teapot in the form of a cluster of bamboo, the base impressed with an Yi Xing Zi Sha mark; the third, a covered teapot in the form of a boat with an impressed mark to the base; the fourth, a covered teapot molded in the form of a carp; the fifth, a covered teapot of slightlypressed globular form with impressed mark to the base; the sixth, a yellow clay teapot in the form of a peach, with a russet branch-form handle and spout; a water dropper in the form of a boy on the back of a recumbent water buffalo; and a brush rest in the form of a gnarled branch with a cicada. 7 1/2in (19cm) width of widest over handle (8).
