W.A.S. Benson (British 1854-1924), an Arts & Crafts copper and brass oil lamp with triptych brass reflector, c.1905, plaque on the end of the wick adjuster marked Benson & Co, New Bond St., London, The reservoir with fitments raised on three small brass feet, the brass reflector is removeable and can be fixed on the brass collar around the wick, 33 cm highCondition ReportThere is an indentation on the top edge of the reservoir. There is general aging and wear, with some scuffs and scratches to surfaces. The elements separate and the nobs and screws move as expected but are a little stiff and would benefit from some cleaning and oiling. It has both wicks and they are adjustable. The superstructure with the wick and openwork gallery can be removed from the reservoir. The reflector is structural good but the surfaces are similarly affected. The tag and screw the fixes it in place is still presents and works.
