A GROUP OF MOTHER-OF-PEARL ITEMS AND A FAN IN AN EMBROIDERED CASE19th centuryComprising: a mother-of-pearl octagonal etui, decorated with panels depicting Napoleon's tomb, reserved on floral grounds; a rectangular box and cover decorated with a central coat of arms on floral and foliate scroll grounds; and a painted fan with a silk case embroidered with a peacock amongst flowering peony and rockwork and swallows amongst bamboo.The fan case 30.5cm (12in) long (4).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: General rub and wear.The mother-of-pearl box and cover have some of the sides re-glued and one corner of the short sides reattached. Chip and nibbles to the base.The mother-of-pearl etui with one crack passing across one of the side pivot floret and the floret below with a missing petal. One crack to the rim just below the cover.Fan cover with some stains and discoloration, the top with tears in the silk.The fan with holes and tears to the paper, mostly to the top. One side detached to the rest of the painting and the final not anymore glued to the end stick.
