The name emblazoned on the stern and a low land mass is seen in background. Signed lower left “W.P. Stubbs 87″. Housed in a gilt wood double liner missing its outside frame (with losses). CONDITION: Lined on new stretcher, the surface shows all over craquelure which is raised causing a wrinkling effect to the canvas, restored showing areas of inpaint & restoration.
