Cyprus, Middle Bronze Age Ca. 1800-1600 BC Very attractive deep plate or bowl with opposing handles, exterior decorated with single red band, interior with large tondo comprising of three conical circles, the inner circle with a horizontal black line, with two encompassing red half circled fillers. Above these connical circles are four symmetrically painted handle- shaped motifs, each with a narrow painted passageway which connecting to additional rounded motifs, exterior painted in black and red pigment. Size: L:75mm / W:280mm ; 855g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formely in High Wycombe Estate collection; formerly acquired on the UK Art market.
