Ca. 332-30 BC An Egyptian wood sarcophagus mask with very fine quality painting and gilding, much of which remains. Large almond-shaped eyes, cosmetic lines and brows added in black slip, the headdress with much of the original yellow ochre and green pigments remaining, and a central scarab motif painted in black. Holes to receive pegs remaining on the back.
