Ca. 2000 BC A pottery bowl and mortar, the bowl hemispherical in form, with the base gently sloping inwards and then tapering outwards towards the conical rim, a border of carved line decorating encompassing the base, the body with a ridged lip encircling the base above the rounded bottom. The mortar formed to fit just inside the top of the rim of the bowl, widening towards the bottom, with a ridge and bands of geometric design. Size: L:120mm / W:115mm ; 580g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formely in High Wycombe Estate collection; formerly acquired on the UK Art market.
