Ca. 3000-2000 BC A fine example of an Indus Valley civilisation vessel, with globular body on a flat, round base and a short, slightly outward flaring rim. The upper part of the body is decorated with a polychrome series of panels depicting pair of fish, a bird and geometric motifs. Lower part is plain. Size: L:93mm / W:133mm ; 240g Provenance: From the private collection of Mr. R. Unger; previously with a London gallery; acquired in the 1990s on the UK art market.
