TWO CHINESE FUJIANESE LACQUER VASES. Republic period. The first formed as a meiping, the second a pear-shaped garlic mouth vase, each on an integral stand, painted in gilt and red lacquer with figures of scholars in a desolate landscape with pagodas disappearing among distant mountain peaks scattered with trees, all on a dark grey ground, the larger vase with a Shen Shao'an Kgi Kee mark and the smaller with a Mau Chung Kee mark, 29.5cm H.
