Beautifully decorated and carved depicting birds, cupids and garland. Massif ebony wood twisted columns, 232 x 232 x 96 cm. Provenance: This unique and special cabinet has stood in the Abbey of Middelburg of the Commissioner of the King. This cupboard was always passed on to the next commissioner until Mr. Casembrood moved to Gapinge. The cupboard was then moved to the Clerks Office in the Abbey. After his death, part of the estate was purchased through Mr. de Bree, author of the book "Zeeuws Zilver" to the Brussels artist Gust Dierikx. After approximately 50 years, this piece has found its way back home to Zeeland to find the way to a new home.
