An English pottery, so-called 'Black Basalt', bust of Michiel Adriaensz. de Ruyter (1607 - 1676). The back impressed with 'DE RUYTER' and Wedgwood mark. Wedgwood, around 1780 - 1795. H. bust 31 cm.
