A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERSCIRCA 1770The top with re-entrant corners, the baize lined writing slide with a re-entrant border80.5cm high, 83.5cm wide, 49cm deepMarks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. Some old repairs - see images for details. Baize inset to the slide is a replacement, it has some wear and small losses. Metalware appears original. No key is present but all locks are open. The edge of the top with a section of moulding to one rear corner detached but present. Some evidence of old worm to backs of feet and underside. Some later supporting blocks to backs of feet. Timber has a sympathetically cleaned and polished appearance. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
