Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Ceramic vase with grayish celadon glaze, crackled, pale glossy and unctuous typical of the Guanyao pottery of the Song dynasty. The shape is originally derived from ancient bronze "Hu" prototypes characterized by a straight mouth, wide belly and two ring handles, through which a cord was passed for carrying. In this form the ears are tubular (arrow-handled) and are located on the shoulders between horizontal molded bands. The profile is pear-shaped and rises from a circular profile base.
