A pair of Chinese famille rose bowls dating from the late 19th century. The exteriors features mythical figures with attendants in a landscape scene. The foot is decorated with a wave band. The interior and exterior are glazed turquoise, and the bottom has a 6-character mark. Dimensions are: 2 5/8 inches tall X 6 5/8 inches long X 4 5/8 inches wide, 6.7 cm X 16.8 cm X 11.7 cm. One bowl has areas of repair to all sides, particularly near the rim. It has abrasions to the interior, a crack to one wall, and a hairline to another wall. The other bowl has multiple areas of repair and overpainting. It has a crack to one side, a chip to the foot, and abrasions to the interior.
