A BRONZE FIGURE OF TARA, 1900sChina, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) - Republic Period (1912-1949). Cast seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, the right hand extended in varada mudra, and the left held in vitarka mudra. The face with serene expression surmounted by a foliate tiara, the hair arranged in a tall chignon. Clad in a knee-length dhoti and richly adorned in floral and beaded jewelry.Provenance: German private collection.Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, casting flaws.Weight: 2.6 kgDimensions: Height 30.5 cm
