A BRONZE FIGURE OF USHNISHAVIJAYANepal, 20th century. The royally attired deity cast seated in vajraparyankasana upon a lotus throne, with eight arms and three faces, the first right hand holds a visvavajra, the second a miniature image of Buddha, the third an arrow and the fourth is held in the mudra of supreme generosity. The first left holds a vajra lasso, the second a bow, the third shows the mudra of bestowing protection and the fourth is shown in meditative equipoise holding an auspicious nectar vase; wearing silks and jewel ornaments such as disc earrings and an elaborate foliate tiara encircling the high chignon.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and expected casting irregularities.Provenance: German private collection.
