A FAMILLE VERTE 'AUSPICIOUS FLOWERS' BOWL, LATE QING DYNATYChina, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. With deep rounded sides, rising from a straight ring foot to a broad everted rim, painted in polychrome enamels, iron-red and gold, the interior with a floral border and a flower in the center, the exterior with three sets of floral sprays including peonies, buddha hand citruses, peaches, and other auspicious flowers, all below a floral border. The recessed base with an apocryphal six-character Kangxi mark within a double circle.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1990 and has remained in the family ever since.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, a few manufacturing flaws, such as minor fritting to the rim and pitting.Weight: 290 gDimensions: Diameter 14.9 cm
