A BOTTLE-SHAPED 'DRAGON' VASE, 1900sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) - Republic Period (1912-1949). Rising from a short circular foot to a waisted center piece and long neck with straight rim, finely painted in iron-red and gold above the glaze with two confronting five-clawed dragons chasing the magical pearl, surrounded by lingzhi-clouds and flames, below a border of crashing waves. A leaf band to the neck with two shou characters. The recessed base with an apocryphal six-character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue.Provenance: German private collection.Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear.Weight: 784 gDimensions: Height 32.7 cm
