A STUDY OF A YOUNG MAN AND A RAM, AFTER REZA ABBASIIran, circa 1800. After Reza Abbasi (1565 - 1635). Watercolor, gouache and pencil on buff paper. Depicting a crouching young man gazing at a large ram wearing a turban, with calligraphy to the top and apocryphally signed to the lower left Reza Abbasi, all within a palmette margin on a black background. Mounted on a cardboard with washed blue and red margins, the backside inscribed.Condition: With signs of wear, staining, soling and minuscule losses.Provenance: French private collection.
