A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ‘LADY AND BOY’ SEAL PASTE BOX AND COVER APOCRYPHAL MARK OF EMPEROR CHENGHUA CHINA, QING DYNASTY, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD Of circular shape, with a sligthly bombed lid, it rests on a short ring foot. The top of the lid is painted in underglaze cobalt blue shades with a lady, a boy, a barrier and a banana tree. The base is inscribed in underglaze cobalt blue with an apocryphal six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua. It is also painted with waves.
