Hanegawa Chincho, pupil of Torii Kiyinobu I, was an artist from the period of 'tan-e' and 'beni-e' prints. He is most known as an illustrator of novels than as a designer of single-sheet prints. 2. Compare with a related print preserved at the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston under accession number 21.6876, that one said to be by Nishimura Shigenaga (Japanese, 1697–1756).
