DENIS BLUEMAN (Minsk, 1975). "Volcanic Horizon, 2022.Mixed media acrylic, volcanic sands, on canvas.Signed, dated and titled on the back.Size: 60 x 120 cm.Denis Blueman's paintings are conceived in a spiritual way, in which the painter's exercise permeates the canvas almost in a performative way. His works denote great care in the treatment of the material, which becomes the protagonist of the image. Blueman began working with volcanic sands, although his work currently experiments with natural materials from different parts of the world, especially those originating from his homeland (Belarus and Ukraine). This work and collection of elements of nature linked to the land of his birth links the artist in a very intimate way to his origins.Born in Minsk in 1975, his initial training was centred on an interest in art, architecture and design, studies which he began in 1985. In 1992 he entered the Belarusian Academy of Art and from 1999 he studied at the 3D Art School of Microsoft. At the turn of the century, he worked in the field of design, architecture and the creation of large murals and reliefs in Belarus, Poland and Italy. In 2005 he started his ecological study on the structure of human habitat and the structure of water as the main basis of life. His interest in art is linked to his interest in the sea, obtaining a diving certificate, a sailing captain's licence in Belarus, as well as his studies at the RYA school in Great Britain. Since 2010 he has been on study trips in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. After his arrival in Spain he experimented with new techniques such as the use of seawater, natural soils and volcanic sand. Throughout his career he has participated in numerous solo exhibitions such as; Deep, in A&V art gallery, Minsk, or Horizons, Water Line in National Centre for Contemporary Arts State Museum(NCCA) in Minsk, and Nuevas Energías in Javier Roman gallery, Malaga among others. In addition, in 2019 he was awarded the second prize in the XI XI competition Pedro Modesto Campos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. ---------------------以下为软件翻译,仅供参考---------------------
