He went on to found the brand in his own name in 1995 and has created some of the most attractive watches in the world of, one of such is the Sympathie model. The Sympathie had a rather unique and recognizable shape, its case came with an angular square design and elongated lugs. The present Sympathie Quantieme Perpetual, however, has something more distinctive. Not only does it provide the perpetual calendar, but it also indicates the date and the day of week with double retrograde functions as well as a weekly calendar that displays the current week number.Early Roger Dubuis timepieces are rare and highly sought after on the market today as each model were only produced with 28 examples. The present watch has its limited number engraved on case back as 01/28, which means it was the first Sympathie bi-retrograde perpetual calendar made of white gold. As such, it is a great rarity and extremely interesting watch for the avid collectors.
