陈树人，原名哲，又名韶，别号葭外渔子，以字行。广东番禺人。居廉弟子。与高剑父、高奇峰并称为“二高一陈”，同为岭南画派的创始人。曾主政香港《广东日报》。辛亥革命元老，同盟会会员。曾任国民党党务部长，广东省长。擅山水、花卉，尤工木棉。
款识：十八年春暮，曾咏先生偕予夫妇游上虞白马湖，淡冶可娱，因为写一帧以纪游，即希郢正，葭外渔子陈树人识于沪滨。
