卢沉，江苏苏州人。早年在苏州美术专科学校学习西洋绘画。1953年考入中央美术学院中国画系，师从叶浅予、蒋兆和、李可染等。1958年毕业并留校任教。擅人物，工写兼长。历任中央美术学院学术委员会委员，中央美术学院中国画系教授、第一画室主任。
款识：醉归图。一九八五年夏，卢沉。
