Hamilton, a Scottish painter-antiquarian and art dealer in Rome, sold it to Sir William Hamilton from whom it passed to his nephew the 2nd Earl of Warwick from whom it takes its name. It is now held in the Burrell Collection near Glasgow, Scotland.Some rubbing and plate loss to exposed edges and margins, stem repaired, one handle mishapen and bent- foot plate lifting, old polish stains and tarnishing.
