此卧足碗以白玉琢成，玉质纯净，光透晶莹，触手生温。卧足碗是碗的一种式样。浅腹,碗底心内凹,以碗壁充当圈足,故称卧足碗。卧足碗为明、清时期流行的碗式之一。本品与瓷作形制甚为相似，然以玉为材，薄壁均匀，腹部浅刻有咏梅，题诗，造型生动，雕刻精细。
