款识：“大明嘉靖年制年制”双行楷书款
来源：北京藏家旧藏
以狮子为陶瓷器纹饰始见于六朝时期，至明清两代广泛流行，而以宣德青花狮球纹罐最为知名，双狮戏球纹饰此后延烧不辍，拍品即为嘉靖时期制品。小罐作方形，口部饰回纹，肩部饰如意云头文，胫部饰变形莲瓣纹一周，腹部绘幼狮戏逐绣球，神态可掬，绣球飘带飞舞，似嬉闹正欢，颇富童趣。青花呈色浓重艳丽，为嘉靖朝以回青料绘制，具有此一时期的典型特征。 款识：“大明嘉靖年制”六字双行楷书款
