此炉规格颇大，属清早期冲炉之大者，圆口唇沿，短颈，其上对称立冲天耳，耳瓣浑圆壮实，束颈，腹部饱满扁鼓，体形充盈丰润，端正古雅，下腹急收，三乳足承于炉底，简洁精到。通身以洒金工艺装饰，洒金亦称点金，属于贴金工艺，是于器物成后，二次加工而得，金色灿烂而不浮夸，深入胎骨，似朗月当空，隐现于浮云之间，若离若现，精妙之极。
