拍品精铜铸造，入手厚重，因长年盘玩，包浆亮丽。刘海神情惬意，呈仰卧之姿，身着长袍，敞开衣襟，一手扶头，笑容可掬，三足金蟾匍匐在其头之上，刘海神情超脱自在，酣畅淋漓，神仙气质脱颖而出。 刘海，初名哲，字玄英，道号海蟾子。五代燕山人。明代民间神话传说，将刘海渲染成一蓬绿少年的形象，连钱为饵，戏钓金蟾为乐。金蟾乃三足蟾蜍精，嗜钱如命，喜聚财。传统习俗尊奉刘海戏金蟾，为财源兴旺之象纫，沿袭至今，历久尤盛。
