香港藏家旧藏 乌龟形状作砚，龟首昂起前伸，颈部刻弦纹，龟背凹下为砚堂，下承四足，龟的形象十分逼真。龟形砚是砚式之一，因成龟形故名。本件龟形砚为银制，造型生动，工艺精湛，是一件精美的文房用具。 对龟的崇拜源远流长，由此积淀而成博大的龟文化。汉代对龟崇拜，官印多以龟纽为装饰；唐代对龟的崇拜达到高峰，将调兵遣将虎符改为龟符，北方边陲都护府改名为龟林府。《新唐书•车服志》载：天授二年，改佩鱼皆为龟。
