OMAS 1453 FOUNTAIN PEN.Barrel and cap enamelled in black with 18 kts. gold decoration.Nib M, in 18 kts. gold. With cartridge loading.Measurements: 14.5 cm (length), 17.28 mm (diameter). The use of cannons in the capture of Constantinople was decisive for the victory of Hehmed II, and here was the source of inspiration for this collection of writing belonging to the series Masterpieces through the centuries, called 1453 the Conquest of Istanbul. The barrel of the fountain pen is adorned with two large medallions in relief depicting the city of Constantinople - today Istanbul - and Mehmed II, the Conqueror, while the upper part of the cap bears the signature of Mehmed II. The lower part of the cap shows the dome of the Hagia Sophia Basilica, and that same dome is also engraved on the nib in 18-karat gold, and the date 1453 is emphasised on the barrel. Designed and crafted by the artisans of the Omas laboratory in Bologna, where they have been working since 1925 with the most advanced technologies, these limited editions come in three different models.
