Silver Oklad.Moscow contrasts on the silver crown dated 1884 and assayer Viktor Vasilyevich Savinsky's marks on the side dated 1883.Box with some damage. Wear and tear due to use and time.Measures: 18 x 14,5 cm (icon); 25 x 21,5 x 5 cm (wooden box).Icon "of Christ Pantocrator" with face and hands painted on wood and with silver Oklad chiselled with remains of gilding, with contrasts of Moscow. In wooden box-urn with gilt inner frame. Glazed. Depicts Jesus half-length, in the frontal and hieratic face with expressive intensity. Christ in his left hand holds the open book of the Gospel in front of the congregation, and with his right hand, according to the Orthodox/Byzantine rite, he blesses with an open palm and the articulation of the thumb and ring finger. In this type of icon the ineffable reality of God made Man is expressed.
