A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY FUSEE DROP-DIAL WALL TIMEPIECE WITH EIGHT-INCH DIALTHE DIAL INSCRIBED FOR FRENCH, LONDON, MID 19th CENTURYThe four columnar pillar single fusee movement with anchor escapement regulated by lenticular bob pendulum, the 8 inch circular cream painted Roman numeral dial inscribed FRENCH, Royal Exchange, LONDON to centre and with steel fleur-de-lys hands, set behind hinged glazed moulded cast brass bezel incorporating canted insert to interior, with caddy-turned dial surround secured with pegs to the rear box case incorporating door to right hand side and flame veneered fascia to the drop-trunk fitted with pendulum access flap to the curved underside.33cm (13ins) high, 26cm (10.25ins) wide, 15cm (6ins) deep.Santiago James Moore French is recorded in Baillie, G.H.
