14th-10th century B.C. A massive bronze spearhead, ovate blade with rounded, gently curved shoulders and rounded midrib, flat rectangular-section tang tapering to a sharply bent end. Cf. The spear belongs to the type V of the Khorasani spear-heads classification. The heavy spearheads of type V were cast in one piece, and have a characteristic tang formed by a flat, rectangular-section bar tapering to a sharply bent finial, sometimes like here, button-ended.
