A seal matrixposed of a discoid die and tapering shank with pierced terminal, die with central motif of pelican perched on a nest, themon Christian motif of the Pelican in her piety a symbol of Christs sacrifice the pelican was believed to peck its own breast in order to feed its chicks on its blood; surrounding 'IE SV SEL DAMOR' legend, amon Anglo-French inscription meaning I am the seal of love but which also incorporates amuletic ambiguity in that the first two words also spell IESV [Jesus]; apanied by an impression.
