A MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID BLACK LACQUER TABLE SCREEN PANEL, KANGXI China, 1661-1722. Of rectangular form, finely inlaid with mother-of-pearl depicting warriors on horseback and a bannerman, marching through a landscape, a wutong tree and a rock in the background, all further enhanced by a sprinkled mother-of-pearl ground. The reverse with blossoming peony branches emerging from a scholar's rock. Framed by a silver-inlaid key fret border.

Provenance: British trade.
Condition: Good condition with minor old wear, few small chips to the rims, shallow surface scratches, minimal losses. Overall commensurate with age and displaying very well.
