A GREEN AND PINK OVERLAY GLASS 'PEACH' BRUSHWASHER, QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Finely carved through the outer green layer, of which only two leafy sprigs remain, to the white and pink glass in the form of a hollow peach with elongated tip, supported on a circular foot. The glass of a soft white tone with pink specks to one side.

Provenance: French trade.
Condition: Good condition commensurate with age. Old wear and minor manufacturing flaws, minuscule nibbling to the rim, the foot with small chips.
