A WHITE JADE 'CARP IN LOTUS' PENDANT, QING DYNASTY China, 1644-1912. Naturalistically carved and pierced as a carp emerging from a large, curled lotus leaf, the edges gently folding over the fish, the puckered lips spraying water, finely incised with scales and gills. The translucent stone is of an elegant white tone with a light russet inclusion to the reverse. Smooth polish with an unctuous feel overall.

Provenance: From an estate in Boston, USA.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear, minor nibbling to exposed areas. The stone with natural inclusions and fissures, some of which may have developed into small hairline cracks over time.

清代白玉蓮池鯉魚掛件
中國，1644-1912年。鏤雕一條蹦跳在大荷葉上的鯉魚，荷葉邊緣輕輕地包圍著魚身，魚嘴翹起噴著水，魚鱗分辨清晰。半透明的玉石呈現優雅的白色，背面帶有淺褐色的內沁。表面光滑，整體瑩潤。

來源：美國波斯頓舊藏。
品相：狀況極好，輕微磨損。具有天然內沁和裂縫，隨著時間的推移，其中一些可能已經發展成細小的細裂縫。
