A SPINACH GREEN JADE 'PINE, LINGZHI AND BAMBOO' VASE, 18TH CENTURY China. Fashioned in the form of a hollowed-out tree trunk issuing gnarled pine branches depicted in openwork and further bearing large lingzhi blooms, the irregular surface of the vessel further decorated in relief with tall bamboo shoots growing near the base beside a crane standing on one leg. The smoothly polished, translucent stone of a lustrous variegated green color with pale veins and dark specks.

Provenance: From an old South German private collection, assembled between 1970 and 2002
Condition: Very good condition with old wear and minuscule nibbling to exposed areas. The stone with natural inclusions and fissures, some of which may have developed into small hairline cracks over time.

Vases of this type, modeled in the form of tree trunks were very popular during the Qing dynasty, as their design could express a variety of auspicious messages. This piece, which is carved with pine, lingzhi, and bamboo, all symbols of longevity, would have been suitable as a birthday gift.

十八世紀松竹碧玉瓶
中國。玉瓶成樹幹狀，浮雕松樹、竹子、仙鶴與靈芝。玉石玉質自然，細膩晶瑩，溫潤而通透。

來源：德國南部私人收藏，建於1970 與2002之間。
品相：狀況極好，微小磨損。有天然內沁和裂縫的石頭，隨著時間的推移，其中一些可能已經發展成細小的細縫。
