A SPINACH GREEN JADE 'DUCK' LIBATION CUP, QING DYNASTY China, 19^th century. The unusual vessel crisply carved in openwork in the form of a duck with neatly incised feet and plumage, the face with round bulging eyes, a remarkably long beak that serves as a handle, and flanked by lobed flanges. The translucent stone is of a deep spinach-green tone with dark-green and black specks as well as few white and russet inclusions.

Provenance: British trade.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling to exposed areas. The stone with natural inclusions and fissures.
