A SPECTACULAR PAIR OF TURQUOISE-GLAZED PHEASANTS, KANGXI PERIOD China, 1662-1722. Each figure is finely modeled as a pheasant perched on a pierced tree trunk, the animals well detailed with dark eyes, the beaks open and showing small biscuit tongues, their crests elegantly curved. The finely crackled and rich turquoise glaze is darkening in the recesses and pools nicely into a distinct glaze drop at the lower end of both beaks. (2)

Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear and some firing irregularities. One of the figures with the small tip of the crest reattached.

康熙一對綠松石色釉錦鷄
中國，1662-1722年。捏塑錦鷄立於樹幹上，藍羽，昂首斂翅，雙目銳利有神，鳥喙微張露出舌頭，做工精美，造型靈動傳神。釉面開片細膩，濃鬱的綠松石釉色彩艷麗，釉水瑩潤。
