A SMALL YIXING STONEWARE 'PINE' CUP, GONGQI STUDIO MARK China, 18^th century. The small vessel is finely potted and supported by three short feet, issuing from a gnarly branch comprising the handle and one foot, with two branches growing pine needles, the exterior neatly incised overall in imitation of bark. The stoneware of a dark chocolate-brown tone.

Inscriptions: Neatly impressed seal mark 'Gongqi'.

Provenance: From the private collection of Sören Ström, by repute acquired in Stockholm during the second half of the 20^th century. Sören Ström (1934-2021) was a notable Swedish editor.
Condition: Excellent condition with only minor wear.
