据『造像量度经续补』，第一层为慈相，相由心生，观音面对众生，心怀慈悲，因此面容温暖平和；第二层为悲相，因为众生在迷途中挣扎而心生悲悯；第三层为喜相，劝进佛法之相；第四层为忿怒明王相；最上是无量光佛，代表佛果圆满。造像有八臂，正面主臂二手合十，施礼敬印，比较难得。手臂动态自然，排列协调动静相宜，天衣帔帛在身体两侧翻卷，优雅自然。底座覆式莲瓣工整精致。造像通体鎏金灿然，法相庄严，当属十八世纪京造佛像中精品。
