玉馬以整塊黃玉立體圓雕而成，寫實生動。玉馬倒地上翻滾，姿態活潑。馬的身軀壯碩，肌肉強健，轉折處以深刀雕刻，凹凸起伏，強調出肌理分明，四足曲收於腹上，馬尾倦收於後腿中，並以短陰線飾馬頸鬃紋及馬尾毛紋，分縷貼體。馬身上色澤自然，各部肌肉強健，比例均勻，清晰分明，造型逗趣可愛，形態寫實逼真，刀工嫺熟。馬之周身琢磨光潤，包漿瑩亮，馬形矯健中頗顯溫順閒適，極富優雅之態。馬做翻滾狀，正隱喻了「馬上翻身」的吉祥寓意。
