A ROYAL WORCESTER FIGURE OF A SATYR, MODELLED BY JAMES HADLEY, CIRCA 1890 modelled against a tree stump and wearing an animal pelt and a crown of fruiting vines, holding a thyrsus over his shoulders, painted in shot enamels and heightened in gilt, puce Royal Worcester marks, numbered 1440. 25cm highThe finial of the thyrsus has been reglued, potential loss to a part of the ribbon beneath the finial, both pieces with a little discolouration. Some minor dark grazing to the right forearm, left ankle and the back of the tree stump.
