Ca. 618-907 ADA terracotta figure of a kneeling female musician playing a stringed instrument. The lady wears a long flowing gown with an orange skirt and brown and green bodice. Her face is delicately made up with red lip paint, delicate arching brows, highlighted cheekc and elaborate coiffure. For a similar see the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York - Accession Number: 23.180.4. This piece has been precisely dated by means of a Thermo Luminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla, an independent German Laboratory. The samples collected date the piece to the period reflected in its style, whilst also showing no modern trace elements.
