Ca. 5000-4000 BCA terracotta female fertility idol of a rather curvaceous body, depicted in a seated position with upraised knees. Her right arm cradles and supports her round protruding breasts. Her back is straight, slightly tilted to the back. Tell Halaf is an archaeological site in northeastern Syria, near the Turkish border, with two main settlement periods - the Ceramic Neolithic Period (6th-5th century BC) and the Iron Age (late 2,000- first centuries of the 1st thousand BC).
