The 'li' type of tripod vessel is a cooking utensil characteristic of the central plains of China in the late Neolithic period, and of sites from the Longshan culture and northwest China in the Shany and Zhou dynasties (ca. 1700-221 BC). This type of tripod vessel is called 'li' in the form of a yu (jar). As this type of vessel is not so suitable for heating, they were mainly used for storage, and also played a major role in funerary objects.Dimensions: 26 x 16.5 cm.
